Yooo, I'm back from 4 day 3 night @ HEROES camp and 3 day 2 night @ Malacca! :D Hahah, it feels rather good to finally be home. Church camp was a blast and I rlly learnt alot, wna grow in faith/ humility/ courage/ ambition/ loyalty!
HEROES camp (:
Day 1:
Had loads of heavy bags to lug to singapore sports sch! Haha, very cool to see the whole 901 bus flooded with pple from YHope :) games (im in Chestplate 5) > hostel > wash up > dinner > opening > P&W > teaching on humility (Moses) > hostel > chitchat > sleep :D I love SSS and their hostels man, so beautiful ((: And the teaching on humility was very good. We are in the image of God, we are wrong when we say "I can't" because God called us to it. Say "I can!" because we have a God who is more than able (: It struck me alot that our walk with God is rlly important, i wna have a close walk with Him and humble myself down to learn from the WOG.
God opposes the proud, but gives grace and exalts the humble.
Day 2:
It was hilarious in th morning, where charlyn related th story of how i-snatch-blanket-away-from-her while we were sleeping (we shared bed) lol! Unit qt > P&W > teaching on loyalty (David) > lunch (cool Subway) > workshop on spiritual giftings > free time + dress up for Minilutions + take pics > Minilution > P&W > teaching on faith (Abraham) > bath @ 1am+ > sleep ((((:
Before th teaching on loyalty, I didn't rlly know what loyalty is. But after it, I not only know it's meaning but also how to apply (: Loyalty is the act of binding oneself to faithful adhering to a leader/ cause. There's power in encouragements, build each other up. Our loyalty needs to have voice (encourage/ affirm), hand (walk the talk) & stamina (perseverance). I want to commit my life to following Jesus, ALL THE WAY!
Minilution was great + sweet + funny (: Had shepherds appreciation, i love my shepherds (ex: emily/ current: kkc)! Ben & Jerrys treat were real sweeetttt (: Hope School Musical (by the ULs/ DLs) was hilarious.
Teaching on faith by Pastor Jeff was so powerful! Leaving your comfort zone to the combat zone. It may be difficult, but we all have 1st times haha. Like what Pastor Jeff said, if we always want to do things we are comfortable, we will never achieve anything. We can definitely overcome anything with God, as long as we have faith (: I wna face tests/ temptations that come my way with faith in Jesus!
Day 3:
Hahah, was quite tired already by day 3 of camp :O But God gave me energy & strength to pay attention for teachings/ absorb WOG/ usher! Teaching on courage (Esther) > lunch > games > teaching on ambition (Paul) > IMMEASURABLE!
Courage is the quality of spirit that enables us to do what is right, despite fears & challenges. No pain, no gain. No test, no testimonies. In all circumstances, take courage, seek and ask God how to handle the challenges faith. Man 's 100% + God 's 100% = SUCCESS! Courage helps us step into the unknown, to believe in the unbelievable and to do the unthinkable. I wna stand firm in what I believe, not compromising but always looking to God for courage (; When you are in the midst of a crisis, Christ is with you!
Last teaching on ambition for HEROES was taught by Pastor Shirley (; GOD IS A BIG GOD, WHO CAN DO IMMEASURABLY MORE THAN WE CAN IMAGINE! Therefore, I wanna dream big things and achieve big things for God :D Set out as a winner and win all the way for Jesus, Amen! I wna have kingdom ambition, everything by God's grace and for God's glory.
It was quite tiring to usher on day 3 of camp, since I was already quite tired... But nevertheless, God still refreshed me especially during Immeasurable! Concert was great although it was rather short. When we sang The Power Of Your Name, God just touched me so much. A burden for the group, why aren't we growing? But i know by God's grace, we are gna become a classroom size!

For day 3, only slept from 6.50-8.20am. NED slumber party, followed by surprise birthday celebration for dec babies (: Dressed up for slumber party in kiddy pyjamas & soft toy! Yeah, it was real cool plus lots of fun! Spent th rest of th night fellowshipping/ talking/ eating cup noodles/ playing captains ball etc!
Day 4:
Breakfast > all ushers stand 1 line & welcome pple > camp com appreciation. Then I had to leave as my dad came to fetch me from SSS for Malacca trip already ): Had to miss Praise and phototaking. Some1 photoshop me into all th group pics hahaha!
Yep, shall blog about not-so-fun-Malacca some other day (: Bye!
